The Kings Arms A Drew 5-5 (76-79 dolls) with Yarnton Legion at the Moors Pub. Tony Bennell and Pete Druce both scored 14 for the KAA whilst Henry Johnson and Robin Busby scored 19 each for the Legion
Kidlington Footie Club beat Last years Champs 'Black Prince B' 8-2 (71-51 dolls) at the soccer ground. Gary Smith, once again, the star for KFC with 15 and Ray Grant, this years TOP DOLL, hit 16 times for the Prince.
The Carpenters beat The Kings Arms B 9-1 (71-51). Steve Rogers scored 15 for The Carpenters and David Leopold 13 for The Kings.
Killingworth beat Black Prince A 10-0 (85-55). Micky Davidson (13) top scored for the Prince and Darrel Cross (14 inc 1x6) top scored for the Castle.

WK13 Monday 22nd August
Yarnton struggled against a weakened footie club side but came thru to win the tie 7-3 (79-72). Nigel King (16) YBL and Daryll Connoly (16 inc 1x6) KFC were the top dolls.
Killingworth Castle scored a fine 17 to win the first leg at the Kings Arms B venue but KAB powerplay replied with 21 18 21 19 to win the next four legs and with it the match 8-2 (91-75).Top dolls Bill Mellis (13) for the Castle and David Leopold (22 inc 1x6) for the Kings.
The Carpenters nailed victory against the five player Kings Arms A team over at Barton. 6-4 on points and 65-57 on dolls. Top Dolls were Steve Rogers CA and Simon Hopkins KAA both with 12 dolls.
The battle of the Princes 'part deux' resulted in a 6-4 (74-60 dolls) victory for the notional visitors the B team. Paul Topping (13 inc 1x6) top scored for the 'A' team and Brian Messenger (15) took the honours for the 'B' team.
WK12 Monday 15th August
The Legion turned the tables on the Killingworth team beating them 6-4 (77-75) at the Yarnton Club. Ray Townsend (16), for the Legion and Colin Baldwin (13) for the Castle, led the respective team scoring.
The Black Prince A team scored one of their highest tally of Dolls this season with 63 gross (43 nett) but still lost 10-0 away to the Kings Arms B (94/84 dolls). Carl Edginton KAB (19) and Darren Grant BPA (15) top scored.
Black Prince B lost 6-4 (76-76 dolls) at home to the Carpenters. Pete Coates and Ray Grant both scored 18 for the hosts whilst Steve Rogers (15) led for the visitors.
The Football Club won the fifth leg to take victory in the game 6-4 (75-69) against Kings Arms A at the club house. Gary Smith KFC and Simon Hopkins KAA both scored 14.
WK11 Monday 8th August
A rain and wind affected game at the legion produced an 8-2 victory for the Yarnton based team. YBL scored 73 (H Johnson 17) whilst a weakened Black Prince B scored 66 gross 56 nett (R Grant 15).
Kings Arms B scored a season best 101 gross 91 nett to win 10-0 (D Leopold 20 inc 1x6. T Daniels 1x6). Kings Arms A reduced to only 5 players scored 71 gross 51 nett (P Druce 16).
Killingworth scored 8 points to win their home match over nearest rivals Kidlington FC. Daryll Connolly (12) top scored for KFC whilst 'The Great' Bill Mellis (11) again top scored for the hosts.
The Black Prince A lost 9-1 to an 'in-form' Carpenters Arms team. Captain Kate AldersonSmith (11) once again led for the home team and Steve Rogers followed up a fine vein of form with a 12 for the visitors.
WK10 Monday 1st August
On a very very wet night at Barton, Yarnton Legion took the points 7-3 against the Carpenters. Henry Johnson and Steve Rogers top scored with 18 each.
Black Prince B drew with Killingworth Castle 5-5. James Bateman (13) top scored for the Castle with Pete Coates on top for the Prince (18 inc 1x6). Ray Grant also scored a 6.
Kidlington FC lost 8-2 at home to the Kings Arms B team. Phill Parker (13) for KFC and for KAB Steve Smith (14) & Simon Somerscales (14) were the top dolls.

Ray Grant (BPB) was the superstar of this game with 27, including a 'hat trick' of Sixes, but KAB took the points 6-4 with David Leopold on 18. Rob Edginton (KAB) scored a fine 17 including a six.
Killingworth hosted Kings Arms A at the Castle but went down 6-4. Bill Mellis and Derek Richards both hit 12 for KWC whilst Pete Druce (KAA) scored 14.
Black Prince A lost their home game to Yarnton by ten points to nil.Henry Johnson (23 inc 1 x 6) top scored for the visitors and Kate Alderson-Smith (12) led the way for the hosts.
Kidlington FC took all the points in the game against the Carpenters Arms outscoring them by 91 to 71 gross 71-51 nett. Daryll Connelly (16) for KFC and Roger Lydiatt (11) for CA.
Monday 11th July
Carpenters went down 8-2 at home to Killingworth. Roger Lydiatt (CA) scored 12 with Bill Mellis and Derek Richards both scoring 14 for the Castle team.
Kings Arms A held the Premier Players of Black Prince B to a 5-5 draw at the Moors pub. Charlie Buckingham and Ray Grant led the way for BPB with 16 'a piece' whilst the Handicap (20) and Pete Druce (12) were the main contributors for the Arms B team.
Kidlington FC beat Black Prince A 9-1 at the Old Woodstock pub. Top Scorers Gary Smith (17 KFC) with Lee Saxton and Kate Alderson-Smith on 10 for the Prince.
Yarnton RBL went down 6-4 at home to league leaders Kings Arms B. Robin Busby (20 YBL) & Tracy Denton (13 KAB) were top scorers.
Monday 4th July
Killingworth could only assemble 5 players for the match against Black Prince A at The Castle. The match was drawn 5-5 with Top Doll honours going to Bill Mellis (16) and Darren Grant (14).
Black Prince B drew with Kidlington FC. Pete Coates (19) for the home team and Carl Shirley (14) & Phill Parker (14) for the visitors were top dolls.
Yarnton Legion bt Kings Arms A 8-2. Henry Johnson (17) YBL and Simon Hopkins (11) were respective Top Scorers.
Kings Arms B bt Carpenters Arms 6-4. Tim Daniels (18) KAB and Chris Fowler (11) CA were respective Top Scorers.
Monday 27th June
Kings Arms A produced a surprise 9-1 points win over the Carpenters Arms to move to second in the table. Pete Druce (17) KAA and Tony Bass (12) CA plus Steve Rogers (12) CA were the top dolls.
The battle of the Princes ended with the B team taking the spoils 8-2. Ray Grant (18) was top doll for the B team whilst Kate Alderson-Smith (10) and Paul Topping (10) led for the A team.
Kidlington Football Club were once again unable to raise a side so the game against Yarnton British Legion did not go ahead. Skipper Phill Parker has assured the Results Secretary that they will honour all of their remaining games.
Killingworth Castle doubled their 'Legs Lost' figure to 8 following the game versus Kings Arms B at the Wooton pub. KAB won 8-2 on points with David Leopold (15) top doll. Bill Mellis (14) was again the top doll for the Castle.
Monday 20th June
Kidlington Football Club was unable to raise a side for the match against the Kings Arms A at The Moors pub.
The Carpenters Arms hosted last years Premier League Champions Black Prince B and duly dispatched them 6 points to 4. Charlie Buckingham (16) top scored for the Prince and Steve Rogers (14) for the Carpenters.
The Black Prince A team suffered their third 10-0 defeat of the season at home to the Kings B team. Steve Smith (17) for KAB and Paul Topping (13) for BPA top scored.
In the other game Killingworth beat the Yarnton team with Henry Johnson (19) YBL and Bill Mellis (18) topping the scores.

Monday 6th June
New signing, for the Black Prince B team, the 'Great' Charlie Buckingham helped lift the team from a 61 average to 81 net (91 gross) in the game against title contenders Yarnton RBL. The game resulted in a 5 all draw and Ray Grant (18) led the way for the Prince whilst Ray Townsend (19) & Henry Johnson (19) top scored for the Legion.
Killingworth score a fine 64 in their 10 nil victory over nearest, Section 1, rivals Kidlington FC. The result means KWC are 17 points ahead. Top Doll was Bill Mellis (15) for KWC and Alan Bremner (10) & Daryl Connelly (10) for KFC.
The 'Royal Battle at The Moors Pub' resulted in a 10 nil victory for the Kings B team over the Kings A team. Simon Hopkins (11) & Pete Druce (11) top scored for the A team with David Leopold (18) leading the way for the B's.
The Black Prince A visited The Carpenters and left with a much needed 4 points. Kate Alderson-Smith (13) top scored for BPA with Tony Bass (12) and Steve Rogers (12) top Dolls for the CA.
Monday 23rd May
At the Black Prince 4 Ladies battled for the dolls with Linda Strudwick KAA finishing top with an impressive 14. Kings Arms A took home 8 points moving up to 3rd place in Section 1. Top Dolls Paul Topping BPA 14 and Steve Daley & Pete Druce both on 13 for KAA.
Killingworth played and beat Premier side Black Prince B with a 6-4 victory at the castle. Pete Coates BPB 15 and Bill Mellis KWC 14 (44 gross) were top dolls.
Yarnton Legion hosted the Carpenters Arms at the Rutten Lane venue. The Carpenters earned a good 3 points from the encounter with Steve Rogers on 13 dolls for CA and Nigel King on 20 (48 gross) for YRBL.
Kidlington FC visited the Kings Arms to claim 3 points from the premier league B team. Gary Smith for KFC top scored with 16 (36 gross) and David Leopold top scored for KAB with 17 (44 gross).

Monday 16th May
The Kings Arms A entertained Killingworth Castle at the Moors pub but the KA only gained 1 point as KWC hit 72 dolls nett to consolidate their position top of section one.
The Premier clash between leaders Black Prince B and Kings Arms B started well for BPB as they took the first leg 18-13 but KAB used all 9 of their players to come back and win the next 4 legs 18-17, 17-11 15-11 and 21-18. Top dolls Ray Grant (15) BPB and Tim Daniels (17) KAB.
Yarnton Legion scored a fine 96 dolls against Black Prince A in a match where all the points were taken by YRBL. Ray Townsend (YRBL) scored a splendid 22 (41 gross) and Paul Topping (BPA) hit 10 (20 gross).
The first card in from section 1 was the game at Carpenters Arms versus Kidlington FC. The game was drawn 5-5 with Alan Bremner (15) top scoring for KFC and Steve Rogers (11) for CA.
Monday 9th May;
The Killingworth Castle team beat the Carpenters Arms 9-1 to move the Killingworth top of section 1. The Carpenters go 3rd in the section on dolls scored.
Last year's 'Top Doll' Ray Grant starts the season in style with a score of 21 from 30 (4.2 leg average) as The Prince 'B' team move to the top of the table with a 9-1 win over Kings 'A' at the pub in Old Woodstock.Top Dolls for KAA were Steve Daley and Simon Hopkins with 9.
A top of the Premier League clash produced an honorable draw as Yarnton Legion drew away at Kings Arms B.No Sixers but Ray Townsend (YRBL) was top doll with an impressive 19. Robin Busby (YRBL) scored 18 and top doll for the KAB was Steve Smith 16.
The first card in from Section 1 detailed a 9-1 victory for Kidlington FC over the Black Prince A. Phil Parker was top doll for KFC, with 14, whilst Paul Topping scored 10 for BPA.
Wednesday 27th April : The 9th of May it is! Sadly no Gardiners Arms this season as the pub has closed (Sat 23rd April) but all may not be lost for the future. The Boat Inn at Thrupp has not put a team forward this year either and the 6 bells have gone back to the Kidlington Football Club. Welcome to the Killingworth Castle who also play in the Wychwood League and some of their players for the Burditch Arms in the Yarnton Winter league.

Carpenters went down 8-2 at home to Killingworth. Roger Lydiatt (CA) scored 12 with Bill Mellis and Derek Richards both scoring 14 for the Castle team.
Kings Arms A held the Premier Players of Black Prince B to a 5-5 draw at the Moors pub. Charlie Buckingham and Ray Grant led the way for BPB with 16 'a piece' whilst the Handicap (20) and Pete Druce (12) were the main contributors for the Arms B team.
Kidlington FC beat Black Prince A 9-1 at the Old Woodstock pub. Top Scorers Gary Smith (17 KFC) with Lee Saxton and Kate Alderson-Smith on 10 for the Prince.
Yarnton RBL went down 6-4 at home to league leaders Kings Arms B. Robin Busby (20 YBL) & Tracy Denton (13 KAB) were top scorers.
Monday 4th July
Killingworth could only assemble 5 players for the match against Black Prince A at The Castle. The match was drawn 5-5 with Top Doll honours going to Bill Mellis (16) and Darren Grant (14).
Black Prince B drew with Kidlington FC. Pete Coates (19) for the home team and Carl Shirley (14) & Phill Parker (14) for the visitors were top dolls.
Yarnton Legion bt Kings Arms A 8-2. Henry Johnson (17) YBL and Simon Hopkins (11) were respective Top Scorers.
Kings Arms B bt Carpenters Arms 6-4. Tim Daniels (18) KAB and Chris Fowler (11) CA were respective Top Scorers.
Monday 27th June
Kings Arms A produced a surprise 9-1 points win over the Carpenters Arms to move to second in the table. Pete Druce (17) KAA and Tony Bass (12) CA plus Steve Rogers (12) CA were the top dolls.
The battle of the Princes ended with the B team taking the spoils 8-2. Ray Grant (18) was top doll for the B team whilst Kate Alderson-Smith (10) and Paul Topping (10) led for the A team.
Kidlington Football Club were once again unable to raise a side so the game against Yarnton British Legion did not go ahead. Skipper Phill Parker has assured the Results Secretary that they will honour all of their remaining games.
Killingworth Castle doubled their 'Legs Lost' figure to 8 following the game versus Kings Arms B at the Wooton pub. KAB won 8-2 on points with David Leopold (15) top doll. Bill Mellis (14) was again the top doll for the Castle.
Monday 20th June
Kidlington Football Club was unable to raise a side for the match against the Kings Arms A at The Moors pub.
The Carpenters Arms hosted last years Premier League Champions Black Prince B and duly dispatched them 6 points to 4. Charlie Buckingham (16) top scored for the Prince and Steve Rogers (14) for the Carpenters.
The Black Prince A team suffered their third 10-0 defeat of the season at home to the Kings B team. Steve Smith (17) for KAB and Paul Topping (13) for BPA top scored.
In the other game Killingworth beat the Yarnton team with Henry Johnson (19) YBL and Bill Mellis (18) topping the scores.

Monday 6th June
New signing, for the Black Prince B team, the 'Great' Charlie Buckingham helped lift the team from a 61 average to 81 net (91 gross) in the game against title contenders Yarnton RBL. The game resulted in a 5 all draw and Ray Grant (18) led the way for the Prince whilst Ray Townsend (19) & Henry Johnson (19) top scored for the Legion.
Killingworth score a fine 64 in their 10 nil victory over nearest, Section 1, rivals Kidlington FC. The result means KWC are 17 points ahead. Top Doll was Bill Mellis (15) for KWC and Alan Bremner (10) & Daryl Connelly (10) for KFC.
The 'Royal Battle at The Moors Pub' resulted in a 10 nil victory for the Kings B team over the Kings A team. Simon Hopkins (11) & Pete Druce (11) top scored for the A team with David Leopold (18) leading the way for the B's.
The Black Prince A visited The Carpenters and left with a much needed 4 points. Kate Alderson-Smith (13) top scored for BPA with Tony Bass (12) and Steve Rogers (12) top Dolls for the CA.
Monday 23rd May
At the Black Prince 4 Ladies battled for the dolls with Linda Strudwick KAA finishing top with an impressive 14. Kings Arms A took home 8 points moving up to 3rd place in Section 1. Top Dolls Paul Topping BPA 14 and Steve Daley & Pete Druce both on 13 for KAA.
Killingworth played and beat Premier side Black Prince B with a 6-4 victory at the castle. Pete Coates BPB 15 and Bill Mellis KWC 14 (44 gross) were top dolls.
Yarnton Legion hosted the Carpenters Arms at the Rutten Lane venue. The Carpenters earned a good 3 points from the encounter with Steve Rogers on 13 dolls for CA and Nigel King on 20 (48 gross) for YRBL.
Kidlington FC visited the Kings Arms to claim 3 points from the premier league B team. Gary Smith for KFC top scored with 16 (36 gross) and David Leopold top scored for KAB with 17 (44 gross).

Monday 16th May
The Kings Arms A entertained Killingworth Castle at the Moors pub but the KA only gained 1 point as KWC hit 72 dolls nett to consolidate their position top of section one.
The Premier clash between leaders Black Prince B and Kings Arms B started well for BPB as they took the first leg 18-13 but KAB used all 9 of their players to come back and win the next 4 legs 18-17, 17-11 15-11 and 21-18. Top dolls Ray Grant (15) BPB and Tim Daniels (17) KAB.
Yarnton Legion scored a fine 96 dolls against Black Prince A in a match where all the points were taken by YRBL. Ray Townsend (YRBL) scored a splendid 22 (41 gross) and Paul Topping (BPA) hit 10 (20 gross).

Monday 9th May;
The Killingworth Castle team beat the Carpenters Arms 9-1 to move the Killingworth top of section 1. The Carpenters go 3rd in the section on dolls scored.
Last year's 'Top Doll' Ray Grant starts the season in style with a score of 21 from 30 (4.2 leg average) as The Prince 'B' team move to the top of the table with a 9-1 win over Kings 'A' at the pub in Old Woodstock.Top Dolls for KAA were Steve Daley and Simon Hopkins with 9.
A top of the Premier League clash produced an honorable draw as Yarnton Legion drew away at Kings Arms B.No Sixers but Ray Townsend (YRBL) was top doll with an impressive 19. Robin Busby (YRBL) scored 18 and top doll for the KAB was Steve Smith 16.

Wednesday 27th April : The 9th of May it is! Sadly no Gardiners Arms this season as the pub has closed (Sat 23rd April) but all may not be lost for the future. The Boat Inn at Thrupp has not put a team forward this year either and the 6 bells have gone back to the Kidlington Football Club. Welcome to the Killingworth Castle who also play in the Wychwood League and some of their players for the Burditch Arms in the Yarnton Winter league.
